BA gets Karted off
The latest BA night out saw more than 20 of the team descend upon Daytona Karting in Manchester for an enjoyable and competitive evening on the Daytona classic event.
After a largely ignored safety briefing, 2 heats to jostle for and establish positions it was down to the 3 finals.
Paul Burton won a hard fought wooden spoon, with Codi Brockley a close second and, after an early spin Philip Riding came a frustrated third, left to reflect on his misdemeanour’s in the heats.
In the second group Phil Nelson won comfortably with Nathan Turner coming in second and Emma Burrell taking the final place on the podium
The minor placings sorted it was onto the Grand Final. Chris Harland won out after qualifying on pole. Adam Woodward and Sophie Tweddle managed to get past Bang Bang Barden to finish in second and third respectively
Thankfully no injuries other than to pride, but special mention goes to Phil Nelson, Jo Waddicker and Philip Riding who all managed to find their way into the sin bin for various hotly disputed offences. Ezmi Brockley is also deserving of praise for providing great entertainment doing her best to rearrange the track throughout the evening.
A great night was had by all and we will wait to see if F1 comes calling anytime soon.
